Frequently Asked Questions

How You Can Help FAQs

Q: How will my financial donation help the Farm?
A: Every financial donation received by Farms for City Kids enables us to continue to evolve our program to allow inner city children to attend our program free of charge. Your donation helps the Farm in so many ways:

  • It provides three hot‚ nutritious‚ home–cooked meals a day for every child that comes to the Farm.
  • It provides journals and other educational materials for our hands–on learning lessons on the Farm.
  • It allows our students to learn about biology by ensuring that a veterinarian is on–hand if a heifer needs assistance giving birth to a calf.
  • It allows for the purchase of a never ending supply of grain so that our students can use their math skills as they feed our farm animals.
  • It buys the seeds for our students to grow vegetables and prepare highly nutritious meals and snacks.
  • It ensures fresh linens are available for our student’s bunk rooms.
  • It allows us to maintain a cadre of educational specialists with the skills to teach math and science through high–yield Farm experiences.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more ways your donation can help the Farms for City Kids program.

Q: Are there additional ways I can help the Farm besides through a financial donation?
A: Yes. Our Wish List‚ contained in this section‚ highlights the items that can be donated for use throughout our program on the Farm.

As you can imagine‚ with over 35+ weeks of our program in session‚ all of our items get constant and good use by the kids.

Please feel free at any time to contact us if you feel there are items that you would like to donate as our Wish List is constantly updated based on need.
